Singer Evan explained the reason he left the group and is re-debuting as a solo artist.
On the 7th at 6 p.m., a media showcase commemorating the release of singer Evan's mini album 1st EP DEATH OF ME was held at the Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Following his debut single 'RIDE OR DIE,' Evan again produced all tracks on this mini 1st EP and led the overall production. His abilities as a self-producing artist who makes and sculpts his own footprint were expressed through this album.
That day Evan said of his first mini album, "This album contains a determination to seize the reins of emotions tangled in various directions and move forward. Including the two songs shown on the debut single, eight tracks are included."
Earlier, Evan debuted in 2020 as a member of the group ENHYPEN, but he left the team in March and announced a new start as a solo artist.
Evan explained the reason he decided to take on a new challenge as a solo artist, saying, "As some of you may know, while doing music I have been considering how to present music in the future and in what ways to show it."
He added, "I shared the worked-on material with the company and had many discussions, and at the end of those talks I decided to pursue a career as a solo artist," and "Thanks to that I was able to finish my debut single well, and I was grateful for the excessive love I received. I feel sentimental that I can safely make my comeback with the mini 1st EP."
Evan added, "Although it's a comeback, for me it's also a new starting point. I think I will be able to show various sides of myself. I will try to answer with music for all that has been given to me."
Meanwhile, Evan's mini 1st EP DEATH OF ME will be released at 6 p.m. on the 7th.
