AEN has firmly stamped the presence of a next-generation global boy group through domestic music show activities.
AEN performed their debut title track "X to Z (Next to me)" starting with M Countdown on the 3rd and subsequently appeared on KBS 2TV MUSIC BANK, MBC Show! Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo, showcasing stage dominance and solid skills unexpected of rookies.
In particular, AEN presented a different charm on each stage by changing costumes and performances for each music show while performing the same song. Matching the title track "X to Z (Next to me)", an electronic rock fusion genre blending electric guitar and synth bass, they delivered the song's energy intact with powerful movements, precise synchronized choreography, and dynamic intensity.
The changed styling for each stage also drew attention. They completed distinct atmospheres by handling a wide range of styles, from intense looks using black suits and leather to dark moods that highlight silhouette and fabric features, casual looks using hoods and T-shirts, and preppy looks reminiscent of school uniforms.
The seven members maintained team unity while differentiating materials and details in their styling. They built AEN's unique visual color by bringing out each member's individuality while creating harmony that appears as one team.
Performance changes according to stage production also stood out. They maximized the song's mood by adjusting the intensity of choreography to match intense lighting and sets with a variety of colors. Added to this were the members' stable live vocals and sharply synchronized choreography, completing a stage that combined music, performance and visuals.
The members' facial acting and relaxed gestures revealed through close-ups also heightened their presence. Even amid intense group performances, each member created their own focal points, showing both the group's completeness and individual appeal.
Composed of four Korean members and three Japanese members, AEN is a global group based in Korea and Japan. After drawing attention in both countries even before debut, they have continued with major magazine covers, appearances on Japanese broadcasts and domestic music show activities, pursuing moves aimed at the global market.
After about two weeks of domestic music show activities that demonstrated stage ability beyond that of rookie groups and a clear team color, attention is turning to what moves AEN will take next to capture the hearts of global fans.
