The film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has achieved long-running box office success aiming for a historic 9 million admissions in the Spider-Man series, surpassed $900 million in North American box office revenue, rose to third place on the all-time worldwide box office chart, and is setting new records at home and abroad day after day.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" entered its sixth week after release and continued to draw steady audiences, surpassing 8.79 million cumulative admissions and beginning the countdown toward a historic 9 million admissions for the Spider-Man series. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has shown remarkable long-term box office strength even well over a month after its release, demonstrating "Spidey power" at theaters in September.
In particular, because no Spider-Man film in the series has yet exceeded 9 million admissions domestically, attention is focused on whether "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" can become the first in the series to reach the 9 million milestone.
Record-breaking box office momentum continues not only domestically but globally. Having surpassed $900 million in North American cumulative box office revenue and sustaining an astonishing run there, it recorded approximately $2.4 billion in worldwide cumulative box office revenue, surpassing James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water."
