Former announcer-turned entrepreneur Kim So-young candidly confessed her true feelings to fans saddened by the recent string of business closures.
On the 5th, Kim So-young posted a long message on her personal social media saying, "After a whole Haru passed, I realized that I had made a very sudden announcement."
Earlier, Kim So-young said that following her cookie business, she would end the book subscription service she had run for six years this October as the last one.
That day Kim So-young opened up, "For me, having experienced changes in the publishing and printing markets over the past few years, I wanted to keep the book club going as long as possible.. in a way I had time to mentally prepare as I repeatedly went through ups and downs, but I never once mentioned that there was a problem. I never said there were difficulties at all, so those who read it yesterday may have found it very sudden."
Kim So-young confessed, "Some people may understand my style, but of course not everyone can, so why didn't I know that? That thought kept coming to me this afternoon."
She continued, "Should I have been steadily dropping hints in everyday life about how hard things were and what the situation was..? " and added, "I thought such behavior looked irresponsible or like blaming others, and I think I disliked appearing whiny."
Kim So-young said, "I tried to do my best without showing it until I couldn't anymore and wanted to say goodbye with a smile. I didn't know that could be perceived as another shock.. I was really a smart fool. I learned that this time."
She also said, "I thought the Dinggus knew each other without saying anything and that it had become recognized that way, and in fact, with hundreds of thousands of followers who followed at different times and for different reasons, not everyone can think the same way. Even if it was something I treated like a child and cherished, I should have expressed it more times and in more detail instead of trying to sort it out alone."
Kim So-young added, "To those who will continue to watch over me as they did over the past 10 years, I will become a person who can share more."
Meanwhile, Kim So-young married MBC announcer senior Oh Sang-jin in 2017 and has one son and one daughter.
