Former announcer Park Eun-young candidly revealed her freelance income.
On the 4th, a video titled "What will I do after leaving KBS? Lee Ji-yeon·Park Eun-young have a reality talk and call PD Shin Won-ho" was uploaded to the "This is Lee Ji-yeon" channel.
In the video that day, Lee Ji-yeon met with her KBS junior Park Eun-young to talk about income. Park Eun-young asked Lee Ji-yeon, who had worked as a freelancer before her, "Senior, how is it being out (freelancing)? Compared to when you were at the company," and Lee Ji-yeon said the advantage was, "You also have two young children now, and stepping out to work while raising them is good."
At this, Park Eun-young opened the topic of income, saying, "Speaking of bank account balances, even if it seems like there is no work...," and Lee Ji-yeon said, "I earn well," indicating her income is better than when she was a KBS announcer.
Park Eun-young also candidly revealed, "I make much more than my KBS salary. Just doing one home shopping show is higher than a salary," which surprised listeners. Lee Ji-yeon then said, "I am personally grateful that I can manage my time, but one drawback of my personality is that I am lonely," mentioning a downside of freelancing.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-yeon joined KBS as a public recruitment announcer in 2000 as part of the 26th class, left in 2014, and has continued working as a broadcaster. Park Eun-young joined KBS as a public recruitment announcer in 2007 as part of the 33rd class, left KBS in 2020, and is active in broadcasting.
