'Dongchimi' actor Nam Bo-ra confessed to how her thoughts changed after giving birth.
On the 5th episode of MBN 'Dongchimi' (hereinafter 'Dongchimi'), which aired on the 5th, Nam Bo-ra, Hong Seok-cheon and Baek Il-seop appeared. While confessing about family matters, former comediennes Ju-hee and Seung-hee, twin sisters, recounted their childhood story of their father's abandonment and divorce and how they were refused when they later asked for help with tuition.
Hearing this, Nam Bo-ra said, "People ask if it was all right with so many children, and of course it wasn't all right," and "When I was young, my parents were never around. They always went out to earn money. Because there were so many family members, no matter how hard they worked, it was difficult. There were times when water, gas and electricity were cut off all at once," she said. She said they boiled cold water to wash using a portable gas stove and used streetlight illumination in place of electricity. Nam Bo-ra said, "I was young, so I had no sense of it. It felt like living like camping. That was really fortunate. In my childhood memories there are almost no hard or negative memories."
However, as she grew up she only thought about why her mother had so many children and that it must have been hard. Nam Bo-ra said, "After I had a child I found them so, so beautiful. After giving birth I thought, 'Mom experienced this kind of joy 13 times,'" she said with a bright smile as she confessed the joy of childbirth.
