"Immortal Songs" singer Shin Sung revealed that his father is battling stomach cancer.
Shin Sung appeared on part 2 of the KBS 2TV program "Immortal Songs"'s "National trot festival special," broadcast on the afternoon of the 5th, and delivered an emotional performance for his father.
That day Shin Sung teamed up with Namgung Jin to form "Chungcheong Jinguk Voice," completing an epic stage with majestic harmony. Choosing Patti Kim's "Farewell," Shin Sung, who demonstrated his true worth with a deeply expressive vocal, particularly moved the audience with a performance dedicated to his father, who had been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
After the performance, Shin Sung said, "I have something to say briefly," and tearfully confessed, "Two months ago my father was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. My father is still undergoing chemotherapy and fighting the illness, and I hope this song reaches my father and conveys a son's feelings."
Shin Sung also sent a video message saying, "I will wait for the day my father can smile in good health," and the audience responded with warm applause in support and consolation.
