The group MONSTA X received positive reviews from the U.S. business magazine Forbes for their new album "The Phase."
On the 4th, Forbes noted that MONSTA X, in their 12th year, expanded into new areas while not losing their distinctive color, and reported that "through unique concept visuals and music, they expressed the group's new "Phase" and showed a fresh change."
In particular, regarding the title track "MAGIC," it praised, "It naturally shifts from MONSTA X's familiar hip-hop sound to ballad and pop dance sounds, offering various musical textures and emotions. Through a structure that changes over several phases, it delivers a novel musical experience and immersion." It also pointed out that Jooheon participated in writing four tracks including the title song, and Hyungwon contributed to the lyrics and composition of "Sweet Night, Sweet Morning," noting the members' high contribution to the album and the excellent, varied genre composition that crosses R&B, punk and acoustic.
Buoyed by the praise from foreign media, their global chart performance is also remarkable. The Phase entered No. 6 on the worldwide iTunes album chart immediately after release, topped the iTunes album chart in five countries including Finland, and swept the top of K-pop album charts in six countries including the U.S. and the U.K. Currently performing dates on the 2026 MONSTA X world tour [The X: Nexus] and numerous festivals, MONSTA X plans to actively continue promotions for the new song "MAGIC" through various music shows and content.
