Group Super Junior member Kim Hee-cheul said goodbye to his long-time family cat, Hee-beom.
On the 4th, Kim Hee-cheul posted on his account, "Our Hee-beom has gone to the cat star," personally sharing the sad news about his cat Hee-beom.
Hee-beom was the cat who had been with Kim Hee-cheul since the early days when he began activities with Super Junior. Kim Hee-cheul recalled Hee-beom, saying, "Born in 2006, so 20 years old? He must have lived to 21," remembering that Hee-beom had been by his side for nearly 20 years.
He seemed to find it difficult to express the sorrow of losing a long-time family member. Kim Hee-cheul said, "Actually, I am not indifferent. I don't know what to do," expressing his numb feelings upon facing the suddenly empty place left by Hee-beom.
At first he thought he would not announce Hee-beom's news separately. But to Kim Hee-cheul, Hee-beom was not just his own cat. Kim Hee-cheul said, "I tried to keep it quiet and not announce it, but I thought Hee-beom was something we raised together with our fans," explaining why he ultimately shared the news of the farewell with fans. Looking back on the last moments with Hee-beom, Kim Hee-cheul said, "I can't know 100% of Hee-beom's mind, but people around me said he lived a long and healthy life." He then left a thank-you to those who had cared for and watched over Hee-beom for a long time, saying, "Thank you all."
Hee-beom, who had spent countless hours by Kim Hee-cheul's side since 2006. With the long companionship with Hee-beom — who was part of memories not only for Kim Hee-cheul but also for fans, to the extent that he said he "raised him with the fans" — coming to an end, many people are expressing their sorrow.
