Broadcaster Ro Hong-chul met an unbelievable connection again on an advertising set. About 10 years ago he had an encounter with a person who dreamed of becoming an actor, and as time passed that person became a real actor and they reunited on the same set.
On the 3rd, a video showing his recent daily life was released on Ro Hong-chul's YouTube channel. Ro Hong-chul, who said he usually likes meeting new people, that day went to the site for an advertising shoot and found a familiar face.
It was a connection they had met some 10 years earlier. At the time the other person told Ro Hong-chul about their dream of becoming an actor, and Ro Hong-chul recalled that he encouraged them, saying they would do well.
And after a long time passed, the two became a broadcaster and an actor and appeared in the same commercial. Ro Hong-chul said it was a "connection met in one frame," adding "it's amazing. we meet like this," unable to hide his surprise.
It was also a special moment for the other actor. He said he did not major in acting, so at first it was not easy to get opportunities, but strangely one by one jobs kept coming. In particular, during a time when people around him even said, "you're not someone who should be on TV," he believed the idea that if he endured for 10 years he could become a master in his field, and with the mindset of "then let's fill the 10 years," he kept challenging himself.
Hearing this, Ro Hong-chul recalled his own past. He said that in the early days of his broadcasting career people said his unique character would make it hard for him to last, and he recalled with his characteristic expression, "they said I was mentally ill, that I couldn't be on TV." But in the end, the time he endured explained him. Ro Hong-chul said that after about five years people began to recognize him little by little, and after 10 years they looked at him as a person with a singular character and domain.
So the moment when the person who dreamed of becoming an actor 10 years ago actually became an actor and appeared before his eyes was even more special. Ro Hong-chul said, "it's so amazing and I feel good," and cheered that moving beyond dreaming to actual action itself is an exciting thing.
He went on to say, "it already felt like I had accomplished something," and "the beginning was small, but the end will be great." A meeting that was a brief encounter 10 years ago ultimately became like a movie as the two, having spent time each at their respective places, met again in front of the same camera.
