The group TUIDE's first mini album [TUNE & PLAY] title track "SUN KISS" and B-side "GRLS" dance challenges are generating major buzz online and offline.
Breaking away from the short-form trend of repeating a single short move, they effectively used the entire chorus — which fully showcases the songs' appeal — as the challenge section. The relaxed groove of "SUN KISS" and the dynamic choreography of "GRLS," which mixes house and hip-hop, stimulated cover desires among dancers and fans worldwide.
As a result, the two songs ranked No. 3 and No. 6 respectively on Instagram Reels' rising audio chart, and as of the 4th the number of TikTok-related videos surpassed 160,000, with the title track and B-side both riding a wave of success. In addition, prominent K-pop senior and junior artists such as TWICE's Jihyo; SEVENTEEN's Dino, Mingyu, Seungkwan and THE 8; TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Taehyun; ENHYPEN's Sunoo and NI-KI; LE SSERAFIM's Hong Eunchae; TWS's Youngjae, Kyungmin and Jihoon; and Cortis' Juhun joined in large numbers, further stoking the excitement.
The highly polished music show performances also fueled word of mouth. Music fans poured out enthusiastic responses to TUIDE's stage, which showcased precise tempo control and harmonious teamwork, saying, "Their free and expansive lines make you want to keep watching the stage," "Performances with different flavors are attractive," and "The energy of enjoying the stage comes through intact."
Riding this buzz, TUIDE's debut album surpassed 110,000 first-week sales and secured a spot in the all-time top 10 for girl group debut album first-week sales. In addition, all tracks on the album have charted on major domestic music charts, proving an unstoppable upward trend.
