Global K-pop stars representing K-pop such as BTS, Lee Chan-won, and BABYMONSTER demonstrated strong music streaming power by topping KM Chart's August monthly chart.
The global standard K-pop chart "KM Chart" announced the final tally of the August monthly chart on its official website on the 3rd.
First, the throne in the K-MUSIC (music) institutional sector was claimed by BTS's "SWIM." After topping the chart in April and July, it showed the strength to reach the top once again, underscoring steadfast global popularity. Following were PLAVE's "Born Savage," ATEEZ's "BAD," CORTIS's "REDRED," Lim Young-woong's "Eternal Moment," and Jennie's "Less than a Lover," all of which placed in the top ranks as the music chart competition remained fierce.
In the K-MUSIC ARTIST (artist) institutional sector, Lee Chan-won roared to the top. Backed by overwhelming support from his global fandom, he rose to first place, overtaking Stray Kids (2nd) and BTS (3rd).
Lee Chan-won also proudly took first place in the HOT CHOICE (popular) male institutional sector, earning the honor of being the August chart's "two-time crown" winner.
In the HOT CHOICE female institutional sector, BABYMONSTER rose to the top with dominant voting power.
In the ROOKIE (new artist) male institutional sector, CORTIS (CORTIS) clinched first place for the fifth time this year (1·5·6·7·8), proving their status as a "monster rookie." In the female institutional sector, next-generation girl group HADES outshone strong contenders to take first place, leaving a powerful impression.
