The fan voting for the popularity award, called the flower of the Asia Artist Awards (Asia Artist Awards), is about to begin.
AAA 2026, which will be held in grand style over two days on Dec. 5 and 6 at the National Stadium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, will start its popularity vote, decided 100% by global fans, in earnest today (the 4th).
This popularity vote will be held across a total of six institutional sector categories: male actor, female actor, male group, female group, male solo and female solo. Top stars who heated up home dramas, the big screen and the music scene this year will all gather to wage an unprecedented trophy battle.
The first stage of voting, the "pre-vote," will be held for a week on the global fandom platform STARPOLL app from 3:01 p.m. on Sept. 4 until 3 p.m. on the 11th. The top 40 teams in cumulative votes in each institutional sector will secure advancement to the next round, the "preliminary".
The following "preliminary vote" will be held on the IDOLCHAMP app from 10 a.m. on Sept. 16 until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 6, and only the top 20 teams will advance to the long-awaited final. Because 30% of the preliminary results are pre-reflected in the final outcome, a fierce show of firepower from global fandoms is expected from the start.
The final vote to determine the ultimate throne, the "final vote," will continue on IDOLCHAMP from 10 a.m. on Oct. 8 until 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 4. By adding 30% from the preliminary and 70% from the final, the AAA 2026 popularity award honor will be awarded to the final No. 1 in each institutional sector.
In the male actor institutional sector, top stars such as Byeon Woo-seok, Kim Soo-hyun, Doh Kyung Soo, Park Bo Gum, Jung Haein, Cha Eun-woo, Lee Jun-ho, Yim Siwan, Song Kang, Seo Kang-jun, Ahn Hyo Seop and Ji Changwook will compete. In the female actor institutional sector, leading box-office stars including Kim Hyeyoon, Kim Ji-won, Park Eunbin, Lim Yoona, IU, Suzy, Park Boyoung, Kim Go-eun, Go Youn-jung and Han So-hee are listed.
In the male group institutional sector, K-pop top-tier acts such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, PLAVE, NCT DREAM and ATEEZ will wage prideful battles. The female group institutional sector will see music chart queens such as TWICE, Blackpink, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, BABYMONSTER, KISS OF LIFE, (G)I-DLE, ITZY and QWER compete.
In the male solo institutional sector, leading the unmatched fandom power is Lim Young-woong, who will face off against G-Dragon, Baekhyun, Taemin, Kang Daniel, Youngtak, Lee Chan-won, Jeong Dong-won and the BTS solo line (Jin·Jimin·Jungkook·V·J-Hope·RM·Suga). In the female solo institutional sector, IU, Taeyeon, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, Jeesoo, Nayeon, Winter, Karina, Hwasa, Chungha, Kwon Eun-bi and Lee Young-ji are among the names that raise expectations.
