Comedian Kim Shin-young of I Live Alone revealed her new talent to the public.
On the April 4 broadcast of MBC variety show I Live Alone, Kim Shin-young's long-held dream came true. Her hobby of "reform" was opened as a pop-up concept at a select shop in Shibuya, Japan. Kim Shin-young said, "What I always thought would never happen unfolded. It was truly, sincerely a dream." At first, Kim Shin-young did reform work like customizing sneakers, then she made clothes for a younger colleague she knew, and when told they were too good to just wear, she gained even more confidence.
Kim Shin-young said, "I got to sell clothes remade in Tokyo as a pop-up," and joked, "The reason it was held in Japan is because the proposal did not come from Korea."
Kim Shin-young did not sell only reformed items; she even created original pieces from denim material. Europeans passing by during their travels entered Kim Shin-young's pop-up out of curiosity. They said, "Sell the sneakers first. The shoes are really pretty." To celebrate Kim Shin-young, comedian Kim Won-hyo and singer Yang Hee-un flew all the way to Tokyo to congratulate her.
Kim Shin-young said, "When people feel down and have a hard time, don't they want to immerse themselves in something? I brought out the three years I had been holed up." Ryu Hyeyoung supported Kim Shin-young with an emotional line, saying, "Isn't this how your time has been shown, unnie?"
