The group ILLIT is continuing its unrivaled global rise by singing the theme song for a Japanese TV anime once again.
On the 4th, HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc. said ILLIT (Yoon-a, Min-ju, Moka, Won-hee, Iroha) will release the opening theme song Swingin' Magic for the TV anime "Magical sisters Rurutoriri" season 2 on the 21st. On the same day, the Korean version will also be released simultaneously for domestic fans in Korea.
The new song Swingin' Magic is a track that stands out for its rhythmic groove and polished sound characteristic of the New Jack Swing genre. It depicts a magical atmosphere that cheerfully crosses the boundary between dreams and reality, and it will provide a thrilling excitement that creates miracles with the members' clear, bright tones and rich harmonies.
The "Magical sisters Rurutoriri," which is scheduled to premiere in October, is a new work from Studio Pierrot, which has built a legacy in the "magical girl" genre since 1983. ILLIT proved its high popularity locally by being chosen again as the vocalist for season 2 after making the season 1 opening theme Bubee a hit.
Global OST love calls for ILLIT have not stopped. Critics say their distinctive trendy sensibility and clear vocals enhance viewers' immersion in the works. Previously, they decorated the opening of the local drama "Vacation's Law" with the title track of their second Japanese single I Got Your Back, and they have performed as voices for major works such as the anime "Princess, It's Time for "Torture"" season 2 and "Pokémon: Megavoltage."
In particular, Almond Chocolate, the theme song for the movie I don't like you just by your face, recorded long-running box office success locally and achieved the great feat of winning the Excellence Work Award at the 67th Japan Record Awards.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will engage closely with global fans through a large-scale encore tour. ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥' ENCORE will open spectacularly at Inspire Arena in Incheon on Oct. 17–18, and continue the momentum at Chiba LaLa Arena Tokyo Bay in Japan on Dec. 23–24 and 26–27.
