Mu Jin-seong is simultaneously bringing to home audiences two polar-opposite characters with contrasting charms through the Netflix series "Mousetrap," released in full recently, and the weekly MBC Friday-Saturday drama "A Bona fide Killer."
In Netflix's "Mousetrap," Mu Jin-seong proved his precise acting ability by playing Son Soo-hyun, an accountant who is the only friend of Moon Jae (played by Ryu Jun-yeol). He layered feelings of anxiety and fear by showing a chillingness hidden behind a neat and calm appearance, and by subtle changes in expression and gaze felt amid the whirlpool of events, raising dramatic tension to a peak.
Meanwhile, in MBC's "A Bona fide Killer," he is captivating viewers with a completely different type of character. Playing Ki Young-do, deputy manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics and a genius hacker, he demonstrated excellent intelligence gathering and cool judgment during operations, while completing a three-dimensional character with delicate emotional lines that convey cheerfulness and a peculiar flutter in his relationships with others.

Earlier, Mu Jin-seong left an impression of fresh youth on the public by playing Yoo Jin, an aspiring genius writer, in the film "Only Romance by Genre," sweeping the best new actor awards at the 27th Chunsa International Film Festival and the 58th Daejong Film Awards and solidifying his standing with critics. He later played Yeon Mo-yong, a technician, in Disney+'s "The Tyrant," and Pyoh Yeon-jun in tvN's "Typhoon Family," fiercely opposing Kang Tae-poong (Lee Jun-ho) and earning the powerful moniker "a rising force among villains."
