Producer and songwriter Lado opened up about the severe financial hardships he experienced in the past.
On KBS 'Happy Together - glad not to be alone,' "hit producer" Lado grabs attention by confessing the shocking financial hardships he endured during his time with the group "Someday."
On the 4th (Fri) at 8:30 p.m., episode 8 of 'Happy Together' will feature the horn-rimmed trio Yu Jae-seok, Jang Hang-jun and Yoon Jongshin along with main-competition Group E's special MC Ahn Eun-jin meeting life teammates. Among them, hit producer Lado, called "Suboji" (STAYC father), moves viewers by confessing the shocking hardships of the group "Someday," which once shone at No. 1 on mini homepage BGM charts.
That day Lado attracts attention by appearing not as a hit producer but as the youngest member of the group "Someday." "Someday" debuted with the drama OST "Do You Know" from drama "Boys Over Flowers" and was an R&B group that reached No. 1 on the mini homepage BGM chart. Someday leader Jung Se-young confessed, "When we were active, we had almost no income. We even took turns wearing each other's tops and bottoms," which surprised the audience.
Contrary to the song's fame, reality was pure stinginess. Lado recalled with regret, saying, "Four of us shared one serving of food for three days," and added, "It got so bad that when a thief broke into the house, he saw us and left," a memory that could not be laughed off.
Regarding Someday's "one serving for three meals," Jang Hang-jun also revealed his stingy newlywed life, surprising everyone. Jang Hang-jun sympathized, saying, "When I was newlywed I and writer Kim Eun-hee once ate four meals from one bowl of jjambbong." Jang Hang-jun said, "For the first meal we ate only the noodles, and for the second we drank only the broth and ate it as jjambbong rice," passing on the couple's know-how and drawing laughter. Lado expressed camaraderie at the Jang Hang-jun–Kim Eun-hee couple's "one serving for four meals" newlywed story, saying, "We weren't the only ones having a hard time," which reportedly elicited uproarious laughter.
People are increasingly curious about the full 17-year-ago story of Someday's Jung Se-young, Won-taek and Lado that surprised everyone, and anticipation for the broadcast of 'Happy Together' is soaring.
Meanwhile, newlywed Lado married Apink's Yoon Bo-mi in May of this year at a hotel in Yongsan District, Seoul, after 10 years of dating. Yoon Bo-mi also became the first member among Apink to become a married woman.
