Global group &TEAM (앤팀) previewed a deeper musical spectrum with the new release 'Mark on Me,' which spans hip-hop, pop R&B, rock ballad and pop punk.
&TEAM on the 2nd at 6 p.m. released a Highlight medley video for its Korean mini album 2 'Mark on Me' on HYBE Labels' official YouTube channel. The released video included concept photos and trailer behind-the-scenes footage along with highlight audio tracks of the six songs included on the new release.
The medley opens with the dazzling curtain-raiser, the intense hip-hop track Good Boy, which features dynamic 808 beats and a heavy bassline. It is followed by the upbeat Lovejang, which evokes 1990s retro sensibilities; the freewheeling pop R&B Accelerate, which feels like racing the night streets with someone precious; the alternative rock ballad Empty, which shifts between calm and explosive developments; and Night to howl!, which channels 2000s U.S. pop punk, delivering stylish tracks that cross genres and captivate the ear.
The title track Mark on Me, which closed the video, maximized curiosity about the deep emotional line and message contained in the full song through the contrast of brief vocals and dramatic sound. The nine members' expressive abilities stand out, varying by song from low, rich tones to explosive high notes and delicate breathing.
The new release Mark on Me is an album that outfits &TEAM's symbol, "wolf DNA," with the emotion of love. It depicts a narrative of a wolf, once blocked from the world, changing as it meets you, who accepts it just as it is.
YX Labels asked for anticipation, saying it will present &TEAM's deeper, more mature confession of love through a "tamed beastliness" that even offers its fierce instincts to a single person.
Meanwhile, &TEAM will hold its first solo dome concert at Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, on the 5th and 6th, and on the 8th at 6 p.m. will simultaneously release the mini album 2 'Mark on Me' worldwide and embark on full-fledged comeback activities.<
