'The Community 2' Lee Ji-na said about deciding to return after season 1, "I turned dark out of resentment."
Lee Ji-na candidly explained the reason she decided to appear at the Wave original The Community 2: The Invisible Hand press conference held online on the afternoon of the 3rd.
Lee Ji-na previously appeared in Thought verification zone: The Community, released in 2024. At that time Lee Ji-na also earned the nickname "jar of desire."
On the day, Lee Ji-na opened by saying about returning to The Community, "First of all, I have a good personality. I forget bad things well. I tend to remember only the good things. What remains are many precious connections, so only the good memories may have been idealized and left behind."
She continued, "Everyone describes the survival as 'hell,' but in fact the first thing that brought people into this world was The Community. After touring around, it was a meaningful moment, like coming home. I heard it would be done with an economic theme, and since I am an economics expert I thought I might be able to do a little more," explaining her reason for appearing.
She added with a laugh, "I heard people called me 'jar of desire,' and I was so resentful that out of resentment I truly came back dark, with the intention of becoming the jar of desire."
Regarding her performance in season 2, Lee Ji-na said, "The biggest factor that brings out desire manifests in survival. It is an essential good at the center of survival. In this respect, outside my team I think I did display some desire. In that sense, when making transactions or negotiations, I used the importance and scarcity of the essential goods I possessed," and she added, "I think I approached those things strategically to gain advantage in transactions and such. I don't think I 'indulged desire' because it seemed like a very natural level of realism to me, but viewers may have felt it was desire," she explained, asking for anticipation.
The Community 2: The Invisible Hand is a social experiment survival in which participants with different resources must survive and compete for prize money solely through transactions, and it will be released for the first time at 11 a.m. on the 4th.
