That day Ro Hong-chul appeared wearing AI smart glasses capable of recording video. It seemed he might introduce the state-of-the-art device, but there was another reason he visited the optician. Ro Hong-chul confessed to an unexpected physical change, saying "I've gotten old. presbyopia has come."
He said his near vision was especially different from before. When he brought the screen close to his face, he was actually less able to see it and was surprised himself. He also confessed there were moments when the letters did not appear clearly when he woke up in the morning and looked at his phone.
Eventually Ro Hong-chul even had a vision test. The specialist explained it is a change that naturally can occur to anyone as they age and that he should accept it. Mentioning the average age presbyopia begins is around 43, the specialist said that for 48-year-old Ro Hong-chul it was "on the late side."
In response, Ro Hong-chul seemed still unfamiliar with the fact that presbyopia had come to him. It was all the more surprising news because he had long shouted "lucky guy" with his usual healthy and energetic image.
