Comedian Park So-young drew attention by asking both her in-laws and her parents to help with childcare with her delivery imminent.
'Groom's Class2' stars Park So-young and Moon Kyung-chan reveal in detail their thorough preparations and the birth process 10 days before meeting their first daughter, Merry (nickname).
On Friday the 4th at 9 p.m., Channel A 'Groom's Class2' will feature Park So-young and Moon Kyung-chan, who welcomed their first daughter on Aug. 28, returning 10 days before the expected delivery date to stage a "birth battle" together with both mothers.
That day Park So-young and Moon Kyung-chan check in advance the items and routes to prepare for the birth. While doing so, both mothers come and share a final meal together before the "birth of the second generation."
In particular, Moon Kyung-chan's mother brings seaweed soup for the mother and personally teaches her son how to make seaweed soup. Watching this, Lee Seung-Chul says, "If you want to be a popular dad in the future, you have to cook well. For things like fried rice, it's good to use the 'deco skill' of packing rice into a soup bowl and flipping it," offering "sweet tips" befitting a "daughter-obsessed senior." In addition, Lee Seung-Chul recalls his exceptional "support scale," saying, "I once made a special nutritious meal for my wife," and "I bought 10 eels, prepared them myself, and simmered them for 10 hours to make 'eel paste.' I boiled them in portions and served them every morning and evening."
For a moment the atmosphere warms as Park So-young happily tastes the seaweed soup lovingly cooked by her mother-in-law and husband, but Park So-young asks the mothers, "Would you be able to help with childcare if we are busy?" Earlier, Park So-young debuted in 2008 as a KBS 23rd class publicly recruited comedian and later performed on shows such as 'Gag Concert.' Park So-young met Moon Kyung-chan, a former baseball player five years her junior, as an acquaintance and their relationship developed into romance; a month after going public they announced their marriage. The two married in Dec. 2024, and while undergoing in vitro procedures to conceive, she became pregnant naturally and is giving birth this month.
