HYBE's rookie girl group TUIDE captivated global music fans at once with exceptional vocal ability and a free groove.
TUIDE (Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, Lee Ha-nee) made a surprise appearance on the YouTube channel 'it's Live' on the 2nd and flawlessly delivered the title track 'SUN KISS' from their debut album [TUNE & PLAY] as a 100% real band live.
On that day TUIDE stole the spotlight with stage manner that belied their rookie status. The members exchanged glances and freely rode the rhythm, and with an unadorned refreshing timbre and fantastic harmonies they showcased perfect chemistry with the band sound. A refreshing energy that made listeners feel better filled the studio.
After the performance TUIDE said, "If the original song shows TUIDE's dense energy, this band live aimed to convey a warm and relaxed summer atmosphere," and noted, "It was a precious moment when listeners could fully focus on our voices."
As soon as the live video was released, listeners' praise exploded. Fans poured out enthusiastic responses such as "a luxury live that refreshes the ears," "goosebumps from the intro," and "the timbres and combinations of all the members are insane."
In fact, TUIDE's solid vocal skills are quickly spreading by word of mouth inside and outside the broadcast and music industries. They drew attention by demonstrating unwavering vocal ability not only on various music shows but also on radio stages such as SBS Power FM 'Wendy's Youngstreet' and KBS Cool FM 'Paul Kim's Music Plaza'.
Riding the strength of this powerful song nucleus, 'SUN KISS' achieved the feat of ranking No. 2 on Apple Music's "Today's Top 100: Korea" (Sept. 1) and No. 4 on YouTube's "Trending Music" Korea chart (as of Sept. 2). In particular, all five tracks from the debut album [TUNE & PLAY] charted, demonstrating the might of a "monster rookie."
Meanwhile, having captivated the music scene with their live skills, TUIDE is scheduled to appear on Mnet's 'M Countdown' today (the 3rd) to continue the spectacular stage of 'SUN KISS'.
