Actors Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin transform into a couple in a 10-year-long relationship, offering deep empathy to home viewers with polar opposite daily lives living completely different days at the closest distance.
The KBS 2TV new Saturday-Sunday miniseries A Love Other Than Yours (directed by Hwang Seung-gi and Lee Ga-ram, written by Yoo Su-ji, produced by UNI CHEM), which premieres on Sept. 12 at 9:20 p.m., is a realistic, relatable romantic drama about a couple in their 10th year of dating confronting unfamiliar emotions that once felt familiar.
In the drama, Seo Kang-jun plays deputy manager Nam Gung-ho of the bakery Hoonmin Pastry, who would do anything for his partner, and Ahn Eun-jin plays director Lee Mi-do, who does not give up her dream of film despite the walls of reality, portraying an extremely realistic love.
The released still cuts show the two people's daily lives in stark contrast. K-office worker Nam Gung-ho prides himself on a "perfect routine" of going to work at a set time every day, doing his share, cooking and housework, and even taking care of his partner Lee Mi-do who lives in the opposite apartment. In the repetitive routine, an ordinary day of caring for the person he loves is his greatest happiness.
By contrast, Lee Mi-do's days are unpredictable. Although she has a filmmaking skill recognized at the Florence film festival, in reality the projects she had been preparing have been repeatedly canceled and she has run into a wall in her career. Even so, she constantly writes screenplays, vents her frustrations at karaoke and struggles toward her dream.
The two have lived together for 10 years in facing apartments separated by a single corridor. Their opposite personalities once filled each other's gaps over a long time, but gradually created small cracks in how they view life and love, foreshadowing dramatic changes in their relationship.
It will also be released simultaneously in more than 240 countries worldwide through the global streaming service Amazon Prime Video.<
