HYBE is taking direct action to nurture talent that will lead the next-generation entertainment industry. The plan is to cultivate future content professionals through hands-on, field-oriented practical training.
HYBE said on the 3rd that it held the entrance ceremony for the youth growth support program "Hi, Hi (HI, HIGH)" at its Yongsan headquarters in Seoul on the 2nd and has begun full-scale elite training.
This program was prepared as part of the ''K-New Deal Academy' project organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources. The 28 elite trainees selected through a rigorous process will gain a deep understanding of the K-pop business structure and will personally learn the entire content production process from planning to shooting·editing through team projects.
In particular, it does not stop at simple practical techniques but provides multifaceted support up to career growth care that prospective entertainers should have, such as self-understanding assessments and strengthened collaboration·communication skills.
At the entrance ceremony, HYBE senior officials, the practical instructor team and the 28 selected trainees attended and exchanged messages of encouragement and requests in a warm atmosphere.
"Hi, Hi" will run as an intensive program for about 12 weeks until Nov. 20. All graduates will receive certificates of completion, and outstanding graduates who show exceptional performance will be given the remarkable benefit of a "dream stage" HYBE internship opportunity.
A HYBE official said, "We expect this training to dramatically increase young people's understanding of the entertainment industry and content production practical work," and added, "We hope this becomes an opportunity for trainees to solidly build practical capabilities through projects full of on-site experience."
