The movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" surpassed $2.3 billion, overtaking "Avatar: The Way of Water".
On the 2nd (local time), according to Box Office Mojo, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" (hereafter Spider-Man 4) has earned about $2,337,390,000 to date. In Hanwha, that amounts to about 3.1804 trillion won. It narrowly overtook "Avatar: The Way of Water" (2022) to roar into third place on the worldwide box office ranking.
Currently the global box office No. 1 is "Avatar" ($2.9 billion), No. 2 is "Avengers: Endgame" ($2.7 billion), and No. 3 is this year's newly crowned "Spider-Man 4".
The previous best result in the "Spider-Man" series was "No Way Home" (2021), which earned $1.9 billion.
