배우 공현주가 시험관 시술을 받았던 과정을 설명했다.
지난 8월 27일 유튜브 채널 '여성동아'에는 '약한영웅'의 엄마, 배우 공현주 | 그때는 몰랐던 감정이 엄마가 된 지금은 이해가 돼요'라는 제목의 영상이 게재됐다.
이날 공현주는 자연 임신에서 바로 시험관 시술로 방향을 바꾼 이유를 묻는 질문에 “저희는 결혼하고 아이를 가져야겠다고 계획했을 때 자연임신이 당연히 될 거라 생각하고 시도했다"고 말문을 열었다.
She continued, "Even natural conception requires about a year of preparation, so we went straight to IVF," and added, "I was afraid of IVF, but once I enjoyed the challenge of something new, the procedure itself wasn't that stressful."
She said, "It's a real experience, and the injections weren't as painful as I expected," and joked, "I actually pretended to be in pain when my husband was around because I thought I should show him that I'm struggling. I don't think you need to be scared."
Later Gong Hyun-ju added, "If you plan the pregnancy, you can also plan childcare afterward, which shortens the time and allows the mother to raise the child without being stressed after birth, so I think it could be a better choice."
Meanwhile, Gong Hyun-ju married a financial industry worker in 2019 and has fraternal twins.
