"A Trap Called Desire" star Jang Seo-hee once again opens the curtain on a new tragedy.
On the 2nd, the KBS 2TV daily drama A Trap Called Desire (directed by Lee Dae-kyung, Jeong Gwang-soo; written by Koo Ji-won) airs episode 18, in which Joo Mi-ran (played by Jang Seo-hee) and Go Eun-seol (played by Jeon Hye-won), each chasing their own desires, engage in a tense battle of wits.
Earlier, Go Eun-seol, who had entered Cheongma Group, began to dig into the truth tied to Park Hee-jung's (played by Suh You-jung) death. Focusing on the company vehicle that had carried the fake witness Lee Jeong-tae (played by Ahn Hong-jin), he narrowed down, one by one, the people who could have used that vehicle at the time and traced clues to the case. In the process, he faced a close call of being discovered by Kang Hae-ra but barely escaped, heightening the tension.
However, a new variable arose when the lost necklace Go Eun-seol was looking for ended up in Cha Seok-jin's (played by Seol Junghwan) hands. Cha Seok-jin persistently questioned Go Eun-seol about her suspicious behavior, and by chance Kang Hae-ra witnessed the two alone together, creating a tense atmosphere among the three.
Meanwhile, in that episode, Kang Hae-ra's checks against Go Eun-seol are expected to intensify. Kang Hae-ra, who has continuously provoked Go Eun-seol, cannot hide her emotions and flashes a sharp look after seeing Go Eun-seol close to Cha Seok-jin. With jealousy turning to anger, attention is focused on what action Kang Hae-ra will take and how Go Eun-seol and Cha Seok-jin will overcome the crisis.
Go Eun-seol also does not stop her pursuit of the truth despite Kang Hae-ra's fierce checks. She stays alone in the office at midnight, looking at her laptop to identify the person who used the vehicle at the time. It raises curiosity whether Go Eun-seol will be able to uncover the hidden link between Joo Mi-ran and Cheongma Group.
Cha Seok-jin's keen instincts also turn toward Go Eun-seol. He senses that Go Eun-seol is hiding something from him and becomes suspicious. Attention is drawn to what changes Cha Seok-jin's suspicion of Go Eun-seol will bring to their relationship and to the subtle tension between them.
Joo Mi-ran embarks on a new plan to fulfill her desires. Ahead of the appointment of the next director of Cheongma Group, she moves to recruit someone who will stand firmly on her side. Not only does she closely watch Go Eun-seol's every move, but she also anticipates and responds to her actions in advance, adding to the tension. Even Kim Jung-sun (played by Yoon Hae-young) has been psychologically controlled to act according to her will; attention is focused on whether Joo Mi-ran, who has meticulously set the stage before, can again orchestrate events to get the result she wants.
