'Nation's eldest daughter' actress Nam Bo-ra and her mother are experiencing an unprecedented chill between them.
On March 3, KBS 2TV's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereafter 'Fun-Staurant') will reveal a tense, explosive moment in which Nam Bo-ra, heavily pregnant and passionately serving as branch manager of a side-dish shop, and her mother square off over how to run the store.
In the VCR shown that day, Nam Bo-ra, in a phone call with her younger sibling, unexpectedly says "I'm on strike" and surprises everyone. Interest is focused on the reason why she, who previously took charge of her mother's third side-dish shop and proved her exceptional passion and "business savvy" as an inexperienced branch manager, suddenly declared a strike.
The chilly atmosphere continues during the meeting with her mother, who rushed over for her heavily pregnant daughter. Nam Bo-ra sits down and says "While you're here, let's talk," refusing to compromise on her beliefs about the work, and even vents the accumulated frustration, saying "Aside from taste preferences, my mother and I disagree about everything."
By contrast, the mother reveals her true feelings, saying "There are not many people who view you, heavily pregnant, working positively. First give birth safely and then we can talk later," expressing that she puts her daughter's health above work and eliciting sympathy.
