ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'New Recruit4 : Sabotage' recorded a peak minute rating of 4.2%, firmly holding the No. 1 spot among Monday-Tuesday dramas.
In the last aired ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'New Recruit4 : Sabotage' (directed by Min Jin-ki·Jo Je-uk, written by Yoon Ki-young·Kim Dan, airs at 10 p.m.), episode 4 captured viewers as it swept from the slapstick episodes of 2nd company dispatched for weekend civilian assistance to the "shooting accident cover-up exposé post" incident that turned the unit upside down. As a result, episode 4 ratings rose to 3.6% nationwide and a peak minute rating of 4.2% (Nielsen Korea, paid households), topping the Monday-Tuesday drama rankings.
This broadcast showed the bittersweet weekend civilian assistance site of the 2nd company members. The unit members dressed in A-grade combat uniforms hoping to meet female college students, but reality was hard labor in the mud, prompting laughter. In particular, Oh Seok-jin (played by Lee Sang-jin) was caught by an elderly woman (played by Kim Young-ok) and made a big impression as he cleaned chicken coops and removed wasp nests while wearing floral-patterned padded pants.
But the warm atmosphere was short-lived when an exposé post claiming "the battalion covered up a shooting accident" was posted on the unit's official cafe, putting the Shinhwa unit on high alert. As scolding from higher units and calls of protest from parents poured in, Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho) first suspected Kim Hyun-wook (played by Lee Won-jung), a training camp colleague who had recently shown suspicious behavior.
Amid the fallout from the exposé post, the decision of 2nd company commander Cho Baek-ho (played by Oh Dae-Hwan), who was up for promotion review, drew attention. Cho Baek-ho declared a frontal breakthrough, saying "I will take responsibility," showing a weighty sense of duty to protect his company members.
After hearing the truth about Kim Hyun-wook from Jeon Segye (played by Kim Dong-jun), Park Min-seok could not contain his anger. Park Min-seok confronted Kim Hyun-wook, bursting out, "Why are you doing this to me," and grabbed his collar in response to Kim Hyun-wook's cynical attitude, escalating their conflict to a climax. At that moment, Cho Baek-ho and Park Jae-soo (played by Oh Yong) witnessed the scene, creating a cliffhanger ending that heightened curiosity for the next episode.<
