Comedian Kim Seung-hye is pausing her activities as childbirth approaches to get ready to meet her baby.
On Aug. 31, Kim Seung-hye wrote, "Ppuing♥ I'm so touched. Fun Fun Radio is love," and, "I'll go have a safe delivery!! Don't forget me. #34 weeks #pregnant," posting several photos.
The released photos show Kim Seung-hye saying her last goodbyes before giving birth with her radio colleagues. Kim, who had appeared on SBS PowerFM "Lee In-kwon's Fun Fun Today," temporarily halted her activities ahead of childbirth, and the production staff wished her a smooth delivery, saying, "Welcome to the world, Doongi," and, "Fun Fun aunties and uncles welcome you and cheer on mom-to-be Kim Seung-hye." Kim, in turn, said, "I'll go have a safe delivery, don't forget me," and was deeply moved.
Meanwhile, Kim Seung-hye married fellow comedian Kim Hae-joon in 2024, later became pregnant with a daughter, and is due in Oct.
The baby's nickname is "Doongi." Explaining why, she said, "It's not twins; my husband (Kim Hae-joon)'s nickname is Ddung. So I thought it would be nice to call the baby Doongi, too. It combines multiple meanings like cutie, lovely one, lucky one, and playful one."
