To this, 진선규 recalled, "The card was cut off. We performed, but the pay started to come out late. We would pay off debts one month and live another month, so when the timing was off the card was cut off and when the card was cut off there was no rice in the rice container at home. When they passed the offering envelope, in that brief moment I thought, 'Should I not open my hand?'"
She said, "But I thought, 'Still, you have to,' and I opened my hand. On the way out holding the baby, tears poured down. I felt so sorry for hesitating that one second that I cried a lot and afterward I couldn't go to that church. The burden of offering became too great. That hardship was harder for me. If the rice ran out I thought, 'I can just get it from my mother,' but that was the hardest then. At that time, that 10,000 won was unimaginably significant to me," revealing that even giving an offering felt burdensome.
Then Park Si-eun was surprised and said, "In that situation you still gave a tithe," and Park Bo-kyung said, "I think being simple is both my strength and my weakness. I learned that the tithe belongs to God, and I accepted that literally, so I said, 'Honey, we have to tithe.' 진선규 said, "At first I talked about it. As the breadwinner struggling to make ends meet I initially said, 'Can't we pay it later?
