U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six reported on the 30th (local time) that Naya Rivera's son, Josey Dorsey, will follow his late mother into acting. It has been six years since his mother passed away.
According to reports, Josey, 11 this year, is set to make his acting debut alongside his father, Ryan Dorsey, in the film "The Burning Valley," directed by Evan Curig. His role is listed as Boy.
The film began production in Pennsylvania earlier this week, and the cast is scheduled to move next month to the area near the Allegheny River in western Pennsylvania. It is known to tell the story of a steelworker who lost his job when a steel mill announced its closure.
Josey will debut as an actor following his mother, who drowned and died on July 8, 2020, at Lake Piru in California.
The late Naya Rivera received widespread love for playing Santana Lopez in the drama "Glee." She had gone out on a boat with her then 4-year-old son Josey at Lake Piru and went missing; Josey was found asleep inside the boat. After an extensive search, her body was found on July 13, five days after the accident, and police believe Rivera saved her son by getting him back on the boat but was unable to get out herself and drowned.
