Wavve original survival Bloody Game X contestant Kang Ji-hoo won the final championship by racking up consecutive victories in the final match.
In the final episode of Wavve survival Bloody Game X (produced by Most267), released on the 28th, Kang Ji-hoo, Yoon Bi, Heo Seong-beom and Hyun Seong-ju, who survived until the end, were shown fiercely competing for the final championship.
In the final match, conducted as a 1-on-1 tournament, Kang Ji-hoo chose "pyramid number" as the first-round game and defeated Hyun Seong-ju. He then faced Yoon Bi, who had advanced by defeating Heo Seong-beom, in the second-round "card chess," and won 2-0 to claim the final championship.
Starting as the youngest player on Bloody Game X and rising to become the final champion, Kang Ji-hoo candidly shared his winner's remarks, behind-the-scenes about the other players and his future goals.
Having won his first title in his second survival challenge following Elite League, he said he actually had a very strong desire to win from the start, but upon winning he first thought about how much help he received from people around him, adding that he felt more grateful than joyful.
He named Kim Kyung-hoon and Kim Yoo-hyun of the Challenger (C) team as the players who helped him the most during his winning run. Kang Ji-hoo said one of them kept pushing him forward while the other held him back from crossing the line, allowing him to find a good balance between them, and that the two were his mental pillars.
Among numerous crises, he recalled the moment he found most difficult as the time when the Challenger team was wiped out. He said he thought his Bloody Game X was completely over at that moment and that after returning to the mansion through the revival match he treated each game with a different mindset than before.
He pointed to Lee Tae-gyun, the winner of Bloody Game season 1 and the brain of team P1, as the player he watched most closely. Kang Ji-hoo evaluated that Lee was a hexagonal player excelling in mental calculation, physical ability and psychological warfare, and was very much someone to be wary of because he also had championship experience.
He also expressed respect for the opposing players, saying he was impressed watching Kwak Beom of rookie (R) team play instinctively and thinking that it was possible to reach the correct answer in that way as well.
In particular, Kang Ji-hoo attracted attention by saying he would donate his 100 million won winner's prize to his alma mater. He explained that KAIST was at the start of many of the opportunities he had received so far and that his appearance on Bloody Game X came about because of a KAIST senior-junior relationship with Heo Seong-beom.
He added that because he believed the victory was 100% thanks to KAIST, he wanted to give back even a little of what he had received, so he decided to donate the entire winner's prize.
Finally, Kang Ji-hoo expressed his gratitude to viewers. He said he was thankful to those who liked him while watching Bloody Game X, those who felt frustrated, and those who watched while criticizing, adding that he was truly grateful that people watched the long process to the end and that he would remember for life the people he met, the experiences and the viewers' interest along with the result of winning.
