"Boss in the Mirror" N.Flying's conflict deepened between leader Lee Seung-hyub and guitarist Cha Hun while practicing for a concert.
The KBS2 variety show Boss in the Mirror aired on the afternoon of the 30th and featured boy band N.Flying leader Lee Seung-hyub, Yang Jun-hyeok, and chef Jeong Ji-seon. Special MC Go Young-bae was active.
N.Flying leader Lee Seung-hyub appeared as the new boss and said, "I like the members so much that I sometimes overinvest myself. But I don't do things that aren't helpful." However, members Yoo Hwe-seung and Cha Hun and others echoed, "a lone wolf, a dictator," and said in unison, "we call him 'Seung-tto-ppi.' It means 'Seung-hyub hyung is sulking again.'"
Go Young-bae revealed, "I saw the real side of boss Lee Seung-hyub. As I passed through the waiting room at the broadcasting station, the company's staff were bowing their heads. It's real. I saw it myself." Lee Seung-hyub explained, "There was a conflict of opinion with the members, so I was discussing and worrying about how to resolve it," and Go Young-bae testified, "It wasn't scolding, it was tyrannical. From what I saw, it was tyrannical," which drew laughter.
Lee Seung-hyub emphasized, "Leaving the group would be nothing but death," and shared every move of his in the group chat. Meanwhile, members did not reply to the flood of real-time messages and showed no response by leaving them unread.
Especially, Lee Seung-hyub's self-composed song "Rooftop Room" was the song that made N.Flying widely known to the public, achieving 200 million cumulative streams, 72 million music video views, and even being included in textbooks, writing a reverse-hit legend. Seven days before the concert they began group practice including "Rooftop Room" and new songs, and Lee Seung-hyub emphasized, "Isn't it hard? Let's make it a little harder. N.Flying needs to work harder."
Lee Seung-hyub said, "You have to seize control from the start," and MCs Jun Hyun-moo and Kim Sook clicked their tongues, saying, "We haven't even sung, but that's the third stop already."
They finally started practicing "Rooftop Room," and Lee Seung-hyub suddenly changed the melody. Guitarist Cha Hun immediately caught Lee Seung-hyub's request and played it right away. But at that moment Lee Seung-hyub stopped the practice again and demanded another revision. At the sudden additional change, Cha Hun glared silently and hardened his expression, saying, "The solo I just made was created based on the original 'Rooftop Room.' Then the solo has to be remade." The rehearsal room's atmosphere turned icy in an instant, and the other members only looked on.
Go Young-bae said, "From an instrument's perspective, there are moments when the vocalist doesn't understand the instrument well. Lee Seung-hyub improvises a lot of orders," and Kim Sook, saying, "Oh, look at this, it's like, I'm going to play this, this.
