"2 Days & 1 Night" released the Geoje travel story, which it had postponed once considering the heavy rain damage, after a week.
The KBS2 "2 Days & 1 Night," which aired on the 30th, depicted the second story of "Treasure hunt in Geoje?!" where the members visit Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do.
That day the members raced across Geoje to hunt for treasures and carried on their trip while completing missions with citizens. However, before the main story the broadcast drew attention by informing viewers with a caption that the filming took place on July 31.
It appears to have been in consideration of the fact that the Geoje area recently suffered severe damage from extreme heavy rains and recovery work is still underway. It served to clearly inform viewers that the footage of Geoje in the broadcast was filmed before the flood occurred.
The episode had originally been scheduled to air on the 23rd. The first Geoje travel story aired on the 16th and the second episode was planned to follow the next week, but the producers announced on the 21st, two days before the broadcast, via official channels that they would replace the main episode with a special broadcast.
At the time the producers did not disclose detailed reasons for the change, but Geoje was experiencing loss of life and facility damage from the heavy rains and recovery was underway. Geoje city also canceled scheduled local events to focus on restoring citizens' daily lives and handling damage.
Accordingly, the Geoje episode of "2 Days & 1 Night," which had been postponed for a week, was rescheduled for the 30th. The producers cautiously released the remaining story of the Geoje trip, separately notifying that the footage was shot before the flood.
