Singer Dal Subin finally graduated from university.
Dal Subin said on the 30th, "When I had to attend a 9 a.m. class I would go to the shop at 7, then go to school for class and the set; if filming ended early I would rush to attend class, and even though I attended like that I missed exams and failed; I had already completed the required credits but because the graduation requirements changed a lot I re-enrolled in school… I, who was a bundle of shortcomings, stubbornly graduated from school," she said.
She continued, "My school cost me so much time, tears and money. Many people asked whether there was really a reason to go to school. I guess it was the deprivation and romantic longing from not being able to attend school since I was 15," saying, "If you quietly watch Geondeok-i (the Geonuk duck) living in our school's pond, it's like a bird that still can't flap its wings, pushed out of the nest and flapping around trying to fly; it reminded me a lot of my struggling life in Seoul."
She added, "'School is like a nest' — a place that holds you one last time before you go out into the world. I guess I wanted to stay in the nest a little longer before going out into the world. At least it was that way for me," saying, "So did it take too long? I didn't want to leave..!!? Someday I really want to perform at our school. School, are you watching? Please hire me, I will fly!" she promised.
She also added, "Thank you Richard Yoshizaki for taking photos and rushing to congratulate me. I'm sorry to the Dal Shabet sisters who told me to make sure to say they would come to the graduation and I love you so much. Thank you for being with my childhood and up to now and for becoming my real sisters. Thank you and I love my precious family who led me to make sure I graduated: Mrs. Yoon Joo, Dabin, Eunbin."
