The group &TEAM(&TEAM) moved the story of a wolf awakening to love into the game world to offer a different kind of fun.
&TEAM(Euju, Huma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, Maki) on the 28th and 29th released on their official SNS the original video content "Mission: Doki-Doki - Tame your Wolf!(두근두근 늑대 길들이기 대작전!)"s "CM ver." and "Mobile Game ver." respectively.
The released content implemented a fictional game in video form in which a baby wolf is carefully cared for, grows into a werewolf, and then nurtures love. Although it is not an actual game, the intricate direction and structure make it feel like a game advertisement and gameplay screen, increasing immersion.
In particular, this content reinterpreted the core message of the Korean mini album 2nd 'Mark on Me' releasing on Sept. 8, "TAME ME(나를 길들여줘)," in the unique format of a mobile growth-and-romance simulation game.
First, the CM version was produced as a fake commercial that depicts the premise that if the in-game affection gauge is filled, the baby wolf and the werewolf appear in reality. It features a user playing the game so viewers can naturally project themselves into the role, and narration by voice actor Kang Soo-jin, familiar for voices such as Hanamichi Sakuragi from the animation "Slam Dunk," Monkey D. Luffy from "One Piece," and Shinichi Kudo from "Detective Conan," added to the completeness.
In the mobile game version, actual gameplay screens were implemented with cute dot graphics that evoke a retro feel. Players feed and bathe the baby wolf during the day and play with toys, caring for it attentively.
When night falls, the baby wolf grows into the werewolf symbolizing &TEAM's identity, and secret dates between the members and the player begin. Characters that evoke each of the nine members' personalities, lines that stimulate excitement, and memes familiar to fans are woven throughout to add viewing pleasure.
The new release 'Mark on Me' is the work that for the first time places the emotion of "love" at the forefront of &TEAM's album storytelling. It tells the story of wolf boys who hid themselves after being rejected by the world, meeting the one person who embraces even their wounds, opening their hearts, and leaving indelible marks on each other's destiny.
In the game, the player is set as LUNÉ (Rune, the fandom name), the "one person" and fated partner the wolf boys meet. The lines the members deliver to the player on screen can also be read as messages to fans, adding special meaning.
In particular, the confession "tame me" contains &TEAM's willingness to willingly open their hearts and begin love with the "one person." This content, which unfolds the new release's worldview and message in the familiar form of a game, is receiving enthusiastic responses from fans as &TEAM's cheerful and special "wolf-style love confession."
