"The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF)" (hereinafter "Bukope") is presenting a variety of performances.
On the ninth day since the opening, Bukope on Saturday the 29th offered unforgettable laughter to audiences with a variety of performances ranging from "Seoul Comedy All-Stars" to "Gconte Assemble@Bukope" and "Japan Nonverbal Live G Team."
First, "Seoul Comedy All-Stars" filled the Sky Theater at the Busan Cinema Center with laughter. Stand-up comedians Park Jin-joo, Kim Jong-chan, Shin Seung-soo, Song Ha-bin, Komiko, Won So-yoon, Kim Dong-ha, and Danny Cho dominated the stage with talk alone.
They tackled bold topics that are usually hard to bring up without hesitation, and their relentless, razor-sharp talk had the audience buzzing. Their raw wit that dangerously flirted with the line and unpredictable developments combined to lead the audience into roars of laughter.
"Gconte Assemble@Bukope," held at the Busan Bank headquarters Ocean Hall, also received a hot response. Five teams — KkiriKkiri (Joo Won-bin, Park Sang-a), Bbangwon (Jeon Ye-won, Yang Hye-won), Youth Desk (Koo Jeong-mo, Yoo Young-woo), TtukSadae W (OdiDi, Woo Da-on), and Snack Town (Lee Jae-yul, Kang Hyun-seok) — showcased their unique skits one after another, delightfully heating up the venue.
Each team's charm, freely revealed even in unexpected situations, drew the audience's applause. In particular, the living, breathing ad-libbing and the perfect back-and-forth among members added to the vivid fun that could only be felt live, amplifying the experience.
Overseas performing teams also captivated audiences with laughter that crossed borders and generations. "Japan Nonverbal Live G Team" performed at Shinsegae Centum City Cultural Hall, delivering shows that transcended language barriers and earned strong responses from domestic and international audiences.
Moriyasu Banbanbigaro, Mr. Okuchi, and Kinoshita Jaku packed a variety of attractions into a single stage, including comedy, magic, acrobatics and balloon art, receiving enthusiastic applause and cheers. After finishing their individual performances, the three transformed into thieves and continued skits, naturally encouraging audience participation and expanding the stage into the seating area.
Bukope, which has filled various parts of Busan with uproarious laughter, continues the festival fever today the 30th with new repertoire. As "Man-dam Assemble@Bukope" and Ongals meet audiences, the festival's finale will be the closing performance "I am a dog singer."
The closing performance, hosted by director Kim Dae-hee as MC, will feature a full lineup including Cho Hye-lyeon, Lee Seyoung, Young-gi, Lee Ji-yo, Lee Bong-won, Sambuja, Member (member, Japan team), and Yoon Soo-il. They will present matured wit and solid vocal skills to deliver big laughs and enjoyment to the audience until the end.
In addition, Bukope looks back meaningfully on the past 10 days by awarding prizes to the leading figures who made this festival shine. Attention is focused on Bukope's splendid finale, which will fill the final page with laughter.
