Comedian Kim Jae-woo posted on his social media on the 30th, "When I go to the set, I can still vividly see him walking from afar with a big smile on his face. Yongju was a good person who sincerely cared for his colleagues and an actor more passionate than anyone else," mourning the late Lee Yongju.
Kim Jae-woo added, "Today I escorted Yongju on his final path with a sad and heavy heart. When I sat there alone feeling pitiful, I lingered for a long time wondering if he might sit in front of me once more," and wrote, "'Hey New Recruit!! Come visit my dreams sometimes.. let's make jjapaguri like the old days!' I hope Yongju becomes an actor long remembered in people's hearts," expressing his longing and affection for the deceased.
Actor Baek Bong-gi also posted a photo with Lee Yongju on social media and lamented, "Yongju... thinking I will never see you again keeps me from sleeping. I should have taken better care of you when you were here... I should have contacted you one more time and met you more often... I have nothing but regrets."

Actor Jung Si-yeon, who worked with Lee Yongju on the cable channel tvN series "Blue Tower," also wrote on her social media, "I still can't believe that my long-time colleague, brother Yongju, suddenly parted from the world. Earlier, a close friend of the late Lee Yongju announced the obituary, saying, "My most precious friend, actor Lee Yongju, suddenly passed away from cardiac arrest that morning."
The late Lee Yongju's wake was set up at the Bunjang Jesaeng Hospital funeral hall; the funeral procession is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. on the 31st, and the burial site is the Seongnam funeral culture facility.
