Pregnant with her third child, actress Anne Hathaway will appear with Tom Cruise in the sequel to "Days of Thunder."
Paramount Pictures announced on the 29th (local time) that Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway will appear in the sequel to "Days of Thunder," releasing an image of them standing in front of a bright yellow and green racing car that reads "Days of Thunder 2 Summer 2028."
Wearing a cowboy hat, Anne Hathaway looked at Tom Cruise and jokingly shouted, "What now? Let's make a movie." When Anne Hathaway suggested, "I should have the baby and then we should make this movie," Tom Cruise replied, "That's a good idea."
He then said, "It opens summer 2028! Don't be late," and Anne Hathaway laughed, asking, "Are you sure we can really set it like that?"
Tom Cruise played the role of Cole Trickle in the 1990 film "Days of Thunder." He will reprise the same role, and Anne Hathaway is reported to be taking on the role of an engineer and team owner.
Regarding racing films at the time of the movie's release, Tom Cruise said in an interview, "I wanted to put the audience on a journey that goes at 200 miles per hour and let them live to tell that story. I thought about the sensations I feel when I'm at the track," adding, "I wanted to enter this world where success and failure change week to week."
This marks Anne Hathaway's return to active work. She is scheduled to appear this year in the films "Mother Mary," "The Devil Wears Prada 2," "The Odyssey 2026," "The End of Oak Street," and is set to release "Variety."
