The group CORTIS continued its relentless dominance on the Spotify charts, proving its singular status as this year's hit song.
On the 28th, the global audio·music streaming platform Spotify released the latest 'Weekly Top Songs Korea' (tracking period: Aug. 21-27), and CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho)'s mini album 2 title track 'REDRED' rose to No. 1 for an incredible 18th consecutive week.
This is the longest-running No. 1 record ever for a K-pop group song on Spotify's Korea chart, and CORTIS has been rewriting its own records every week while maintaining a solo dominance. In addition, it ranked 179 on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global,' successfully charting for 18 consecutive weeks.
Its overwhelming firepower on the daily chart also drew attention. 'REDRED' reached the top for the 110th time on the 'Daily Top Songs Korea' dated the 27th. Even amid fierce new releases in the music industry, it steadfastly held the top spot, demonstrating powerful streaming strength.
Buoyed by such overwhelming popularity, CORTIS surprise-released the expanded edition of their mini album 2, 'GREENGREEN_playextended,' on the 24th to mark their first anniversary and continued their busy schedule. The newly included 'PACK IT UP' and 'MONEYMONEYMONEY' on this release also involved all five members in the songwriting, showcasing their deepened musical capabilities as artists and their characteristic frank sensibility.
Their activity on the global stage is also at a peak. After launching their first solo tour in July, CORTIS successfully completed performances in Korea, Canada and the Americas, and will hold '2026 CORTIS TOUR IN JAPAN' at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa, Japan, from Sept. 4-6.
Furthermore, they have confirmed back-to-back appearances at the large Japanese music festival 'Rock in Japan Festival 2026' on Sept. 20 and the 'Formula One Singapore Grand Prix' stage on Oct. 9, carrying out an unstoppable run of box-office success on the global stage.<
