Solo artist Evan (EVAN) is making a major impact on the global music market even before the official release.
On the 26th (local time), the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify released 'Countdown Chart Global', and Evan's first mini album "DEATH OF ME", set to be released on Sept. 7, ranked No. 4.
'Countdown Chart Global' is an indicator that aggregates the number of users' pre-saves on a weekly basis. The fact that it went straight to No. 4 even before the official debut clearly proves how strongly global music fans are rallying behind Evan's new release.
This first mini album "DEATH OF ME" contains Evan's intense will to keep moving forward despite the tangled cycle of emotions.
Led by the title track "Death of Me," the album is filled with eight genre-spanning songs: pop "Not Enough," emotional pop R&B "Noise," pop rock "Ride or Die" which heightens addictiveness with hyperpop elements, "Twilight" with stylish UK garage rhythms, energetic alternative rock "Immature," sophisticated indie pop "Overflow," and dreamy dream pop "Going Home."
In particular, this new release is a project that firmly establishes Evan as a "self-producing artist" beyond being a simple singer. Evan infused his identity deeply into the entire album production process, including writing and composing all songs as well as the visual creative.
Previously, Evan won the "all-round musician" award at the 2026 K World Dream Awards, and swept the major Chinese-language ceremony 2026 TIMA by taking the "Global-K artist" trophy, fully proving his outstanding musicality and global influence.
With musical talent and the support of a global fandom behind him, attention in the music industry is focused on the unique musical world Evan will unveil on Sept. 7.<
