Model and broadcaster Lee Hyun expressed candid thoughts about her son's acceptance to a gifted camp.
On the 28th, a video titled "What weapon did the husband who settled free spirit Lee Hyun use? The husband's twist who we thought was a delinquent(?) [Eat with Eunyeong]" was uploaded to the "Oh Eun-young's Bucket List" channel.
In the video, Lee Hyun appeared as a guest and talked with Dr. Oh Eun-young. Then Oh Eun-young asked, "I heard the child was accepted to the Johns Hopkins gifted program CIT (Center for Talented Youth). Tell me about that."
Earlier, Lee Hyun's husband Hong Seong-gi drew attention by boasting in March that their first son Yun-seo had been accepted to the Center for Talented Youth (CIT) run by Johns Hopkins University. It is known that Lee Hyun and Hong Seong-gi's two sons are currently attending a private elementary school.
Reacting, Lee Hyun showed embarrassment, saying, "It's a camp that is also well known in Korea and many people go. My husband was admirable and posted it on SNS, and it became so much of a news story."
Oh Eun-young said, "He seems like an avid dad," and Lee Hyun emphasized, "Many people have gone. We're not special. Many people are attending."
She explained, "They go next week. They go for a month," and when asked, "Did he say it's okay to go away from mom and dad?" she replied, "Not at all," indicating she was unconcerned. Oh Eun-young asked, "No one needs to stay with him. You just have to take him there," and Lee Hyun explained, "So my husband takes him there. I have a shoot so I can't go."
Oh Eun-young asked, "As long as roles can be well divided, mom and dad can handle it. Division of labor seems to work well. Is your husband considerate?" Lee Hyun said, "Because I'm sloppy, he's really meticulous. I tend to miss a lot of things, so I guess that's why; he's somewhat strict."
Then Oh Eun-young said, "I heard he was promoted to director general this time," and Lee Hyun replied, "Yes. Last year." But when asked, "I heard he got a big bonus too," she unexpectedly complained, "No, so whenever people meet me they all ask about that."
She added, "But the reason my husband can go to the U.S. with the child this time is that he is not at the company right now and is out on an academic training. The company sent him for academic training so he is taking university courses. So my husband is not receiving what the articles made it seem like, but let's hope for next year," she said with a laugh, revealing her ambition.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyun married S Electronics engineer Hong Seong-gi, who graduated from an engineering college, in 2012 and has two sons.
