MBC 'I Live Alone' Kian84 and codekunst surprised viewers in the living room with repeatedly unexpected laughs thanks to remarkably changed housekeeping skills and daily routines.
According to ratings research firm Nielsen Korea on the 29th, the household rating for 'I Live Alone,' which aired the previous day (the 28th), recorded 5.7% in the metropolitan area, ranking first among Friday variety shows. The 2054 rating, which gauges channel competitiveness, was also 3.1%, keeping the top spot.
The day's highest rating was 7.1%. The scene that marked the best minute was when Kian84 presented the homemade "gochujang pickles" to Jun Hyun-moo and the members tasted them. Jun Hyun-moo could not hide his admiration for Kian84's pickles and expressed surprise at the unexpected cooking skill.
In fact, Kian84 boasted an astonishing "cooking 84" side, shopping for groceries instead of relying on frozen or delivery food, portioning out pot rice and even making gochujang pickles and shrimp jang. He also revealed frugal habits such as using beauty scissors for a self haircut and sewing holes in socks and stretched luxury T-shirts to repair them, drawing attention.
Also, Kian84, who tended to beloved shoes of 20 years with a military-style "matte+gloss" technique, said, "It feels like the process of turning into the ultimate single man," prompting Jun Hyun-moo to repeatedly shout "king of singles!" and turning the set into a sea of laughter.
Meanwhile, the reverse-sided daily life of the original "small eater" codekunst was also revealed. Codekunst enjoyed a "four-dish breakfast" by operating three stove burners at once to serve curry, Kimchi-jjigae (Kimchi stew) and meat. Seeing him sit confidently at the table and enjoy his meal, Kian84 cried out, "What if even you change?" and theatrically declared a breakup (?), causing uproarious laughter.
Next, codekunst showed his passion by making handmade glasses for his father. After 20 hours of work he completed the glasses, but in the subsequent eye test he discovered that his self-proclaimed "hawk eye" had instead half the vision, and self-deprecatingly said, "I've become a chicken," adding to the uproar.
