Singer-songwriter Kim Seung-ju and the band Ghost Book successfully concluded their first joint performance as labelmates.
Kim Seung-ju and Ghost Book appeared at the Bupyeong Cultural Foundation production "2026 today safely Kim Seung-ju X Ghost Book" held on the 28th at Dalnuri Theater in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, captivating the audience with consecutive 40-minute sets each.
This "today safely" stage holds special significance in that the two artists, who are family at the same label (Tapes), achieved a distinctive harmony while preserving their own singular musical colors.
The band Ghost Book opened the show. With their characteristically lyrical yet dreamy sound that overwhelmed the atmosphere, Ghost Book poured out a diverse 10-song setlist beginning with "Spring Song" and "Fool," followed by "Doomsday," "Sheriff," "Ranch House," and "Children with star blood," among others. In particular, on the stage of songs from their first full-length album, they raised the venue's heat with a weighty, solid band live reminiscent of American western films.
Next up, Kim Seung-ju took the stage and completely captivated the audience seats with live performances showcasing original storytelling, starting with "Unfinished virus" and "History of misfortune," followed by "Disqualified from music," "Transfer fries are like an hourglass," "The protagonist's rule," "Boys' comics," and the encore song "Engine."
After successfully finishing the Incheon performance, the two artists continue their relentless schedules. Kim Seung-ju begins a six-city nationwide club tour, "Kim Seung-ju club tour VC//VRS," starting in Busan today (29th) and continuing to Daegu, Jeonju, Gwangju, Cheongju and Seoul. Ghost Book will also hold their first solo Taipei show at Wildlab in Taipei, Taiwan, on Sept. 5 and will passionately connect with global fans.
