Actor Kim Soo-hyun will make an appearance at an official event in Korea for the first time in about a year and six months.
On the 28th, The Fact Co. Music Awards (TMA) organizing committee said Kim Soo-hyun will attend as a presenter at the "2026 The Fact Co. Music Awards," set for the 19th of next month at Busan Asiad Main Stadium. This will be Kim Soo-hyun's first time on an official stage in Korea since a press conference in March last year.
Last year, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron claimed the deceased had dated Kim Soo-hyun since she was a minor and filed a complaint accusing Kim of violating the Child Welfare Act. However, Kim Soo-hyun was cleared of charges related to the Child Welfare Act. Kim Se-eui, head of the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute," which raised related suspicions, was indicted and detained on charges including defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Since then, Kim Soo-hyun has resumed activities mainly overseas. On the 23rd, he appeared on a special live broadcast stage marking the 37th anniversary of RCTI, Indonesia's largest commercial broadcaster. In October, he is also scheduled to hold a fan meeting of about 20,000 people at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, as a model for the local fashion brand "Bench."
