Webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 conveyed the whereabouts of Rai and Tamang in relation to the Nepal flood disaster.
Kian84 wrote on his social media story on the 28th, "Rai, Tamang are safe. We pray for the repose of all those who lost their lives."
Rai and Tamang are familiar as Kian84's local brothers on MBC's Adventure by Accident season 4. Sherpa boys who were climbing the Himalayas in Nepal wearing slippers were invited to Korea, spent time with Kian84 and formed ties.
The reason Kian84 conveyed the whereabouts of Rai and Tamang is that a flood disaster recently occurred in Nepal. On the 28th (local time), according to the governments of Nepal and China, a large-scale flood in the Himalayan mountain area on the China-Nepal border killed 392 people and left 1,468 missing.
As time passes the numbers of dead and missing are increasing, but the accident site has turned to ruins, making search and rescue operations difficult.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nine Koreans are unreachable due to this flood.
