The rising star in the Chinese-speaking world, Nina (NINA), is ramping up comeback excitement by consecutively releasing teasers for her new music video.
Nina recently showcased two sequential teasers for the title track "Why" from her second mini album WHY NOT ME? (Why Not Me?) on the official Wonder K YouTube channel. In the videos, Nina freely moves through familiar spaces such as the subway, a bowling alley and a restaurant, exuding her distinctive stylish charm. She delicately depicted the complex, subtle emotions that sway in the face of love, and for the first time revealed choreography that harmonizes with the bright, rhythmic sound, heightening expectations for the full music video.
The title track "Why" captures the confused emotions encountered at the moment love wavers. Producer Lee Hyun-seung, who created many hits including EXO's "CALL ME BABY" and Ailee's "I Will Show You," handled the composition and arrangement. Producer Lee Hyun-seung worked musically with Nina for about a year, contributing to building the artist's distinctive color and raising expectations for Nina's more developed vocals on this album.
The new release WHY NOT ME?, set to be released at 6 p.m. on the 30th, depicts the process of passing through the colorful emotional lines of love and finally learning to fully love oneself. The album includes a total of six Korean tracks: the title track, "Shadow Boxing," "QT," "mamapapa," "Tell Me Where Are We" and "해줘(Say It for Me)." Top domestic songwriters such as Lee Hyun-seung and Kim Do-hoon participated, covering a wide range of genres including contemporary R&B, hip-hop and pop, and Nina herself also proved her musical ability by directly participating in the composition of "Tell Me Where Are We."
Meanwhile, Nina's domestic activities will be fully supported by global entertainment company RECOV, which will take charge of album distribution, music show appearances and a variety of promotions.
