The film "Resurrection Man: The Red" is drawing hot attention online ahead of its release, from the teaser to theater poster events.
"Resurrection Man: The Red" (director: Baek, distributor: Lotte Entertainment, production: Yong Film, co-producers: Super Fiction, YLAB, Studio Nungil) is a film about Seok-hwan (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), an unemployed job seeker whose baseless confidence is his only qualification, who, after learning that he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours after death, becomes the target of a mysterious pursuit.
This fall, "Resurrection Man: The Red," which promises an intense "red" action thrill, is heightening expectations among prospective viewers even before its release through a special theater poster event and an advance screening.
Earlier, "Resurrection Man: The Red" held a certification photo event in which people captured theater posters across the country in Seoul, Daejeon, Busan and Gwangju. A total of 1,626 people participated in the event, drawing strong responses. The face poster, featuring Seok-hwan with wounds on his face and bullet marks on the wall yet wearing a relaxed expression, combined with the witty copy "Resurrection man in September, resurrect in theaters!" conveyed the film's unique cheerful charm and heightened curiosity about the movie.
The teaser trailer also recorded 5.84 million cumulative views shortly after its release, generating an explosive reaction. In the released teaser trailer, Koo Kyo-hwan portrays Seok-hwan, an ordinary job seeker who gains a resurrection ability that makes him stronger the more he dies, showcasing his cheeky acting tone and crisp batting action using a baseball bat, promising a striking catharsis in theaters this fall. The explosive chemistry with Shin Seung-ho, Kang Ki-young and Kim Si-a, which adds tension and fun to the story, also stimulates prospective viewers' desire to watch, pouring out high interest in the refreshing resurrection action and must-see elements of the film.
Meanwhile, "Resurrection Man: The Red" is scheduled to open on Sep. 30.
