The full story behind (G)I-DLE member SOYEON's resignation declaration has been revealed.
Cube Entertainment Corp. on the 27th released on (G)I-DLE's (Miyeon, Minnie, SOYEON, Yuqi, Shuhua) official SNS channel the track list for SOYEON's first full-length album "The awesome life," which includes the title track 'I will resign (Narr. Kian84)' as well as the intense EDM 'STAR', the playful lyrics and addictive melody of 'I hate vegetables song', and 'Amigo (Feat. Minsu)', which completes a new variation by sampling pop icon Madonna's 'Like a Virgin', and also features songs in various genres such as 'Bankroll', 'Can't we just love', and 'Sending romance'.
The track list was produced in the form of a resignation letter displayed on a CRT monitor mainly used until the 2000s, attracting attention. Along with this came the resignation reason, "I intend to resign to start the 'awesome life' that can no longer be delayed," and a list of eight recorded tracks was revealed in order.
Earlier, SOYEON posted the words 'I will resign.' on her social media story, prompting various speculations. Many guesses circulated over the sudden resignation declaration just 1 year and 8 months after signing a contract renewal, but it was revealed to be the title track of her solo full-length album.
The title track is 'I will resign (Narr. Kian84)'. Webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 provided narration, adding wit to the song. True to her reputation as a K-pop lead producer, SOYEON participated in every track of her first full-length album, making her colors even clearer.
An official said the title track, themed on 'resignation,' which anyone who has worked can relate to, previews the first solo full-length album that will contain SOYEON's ever-evolving musical spectrum.
